It's been about a month now and I'm really not missing the daily grind of gambling....

Life is way to short not to gamble...........

Who knows I'm sure if I was winning $$$$ I wouldn't have taken a break but I have a very large wager on Buffalo under 8 wins and I just didn't want to lose that as well.

Who knows. I cashed all my money out offshore as not to be enticed but for right now I'm fine. I'm getting into fitness and nutrition and that's consuming my time. I can't imagine me not picking it back up when the NFL playoffs start.

I did the same thing just recently started back up again. Wagering small amounts 30$ or so a game. Stopped the first time lost so many games by .5 points backdoor covers, pick sixes at end of games, shit that just drives you absolutely insane. Im beginning to think I cant get away from it and its just what these games have in store for me cause its happening again. Even friends and family have told me they have never saw anything like it.^<<^

Thought wajoring small amounts would take the sting away but fuck its so frustrating cappin these games being in position to cash the ticket and lady karma bends you over again. Sorry for venting in your thread. :smoking:

Been out of the game for about 6 months now. Haven't missed it one bit. A lot less stressed, working out every day ... no plans to go back.

Good choice! I slipped back into troubled waters and it has made my life the life I was never going to let myself live again. Guess what, the journey starts all over. The business isn't still in business because they lose money, it is and always will be a business because it shows a profit!

Did you ever hear of a casino or sportsbook asking for a bailout? Maybe a few would but that was b/c of guys like Mark or whoever from Camelot!

If I could on Sunday I would parlay Tampa Bay and Philly on the ML :smoker2:

Smart move.

Regardless of you make a profit, I feel like it is one of the worst activities. People view you as some loser and it is way too time consuming.

Don't be sorry. All of the reasons you mentioned played a roll in why I am currently staying away.

And not being a smartass here at all, but you may want to quit hanging on a gambling forum if you want to quit gambling. It has to get your juices flowing at times. BOL

Do you have a few lbs to take off Harry or just working out and eating better to be healthier??

I've sat out for over two years, not watching as many games either. I will only get back in if Offshore gets back to where it was before the BOS and Neteller fiascos. I really depended on quick transfer of money from book to book and into and out Of Neteller. Granted I have filled my life with other activities, so not really missing it, and did not go thru the shakes and withdrawls. I was pretty much burned out when I left the game.

Lifestyle change. I'm 48 years old and about 6 feet with a small build and after my separation I found a new friend in junk food. My sugar was about 110 and I have high blood pressure and some heart issues. One night I was sitting around smoking some weed and pretty much put away a large pizza by myself watching and betting football. I was totally disgusted, dragged out the scale the next morning and to my amazement I weighed 233 lbs. That was 3.5 weeks ago. Since that time I have been walking about 4 miles a day six days a week and eating vegetables, fruit, grains, nuts, fish and chicken. Very low fat diet and about 1200 calories a day. Stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down to 218. I have a goal of about 185. I take it one day at a time and am extremely focused and I don't allow any junk food in my body. I actually think I was addicted to eating. In this short time I feel fantastic. Another 20 lbs. or so and then I will probably get into some weight training.

Same here. My average wager was $500-$1,000 a game. With the industry in trouble and the demise of Neteller and some extremely bad beats I said screw it. My under 8 wins on Buffalo is going to hit with ease and that wager alone will put me ahead for the year. It's kind of nice to discover other things in life. I still watch a little football on the weekends but my interest was driven by betting and I really don't care about wasting an entire weekend betting and watching 10 games. Good luck to you.
