Looking for a C-Programmer to help create exchange trading interface

I'm a programmer myself, and have some ideas for a trading interface for the markets. I'd like to create a graph system so we can see where lines are moving, and a trading system where we can see the current inside markets.

We would use this for both arbitrage opportunities, and to be market makers.

I am a very good programmer, and have created automated models for the betting markets before, but am a little weak in C. Ideally I would like to develop this for OSX [objective-C], but we could do a windows version instead.

Why do you care what language it's written in?

Why not write it in Java so it will be platform independent?

It'll be easier to find usable graphics libraries
in Java.

I could do it, but my hourly rate would be cost prohibitive for you.

I'm really not a fan of Java, I don't think it has the speed/power that I think we'll need. I envision having a trading window for each market.. Think as many as 15 trading windows on your screen at once.

Yea, I'm not looking to pay anyone -- I'm looking to work with someone that is interested in the project for themselves. I've already created an automated model base in python that interacts with matchbook, and am in the process of creating a market making model for it.

I'm willing to share whatever I have, and probably work more on this project than the other person. I'm not one of those people that doesn't understand what programming takes and says "I have a great idea, if you program it, i'll let you have 5%" Those people are moronic.
