what the bcs did was save face.....they matched up the two schools who got screwed the most boise and tcu...........what pisses me off is i lose out on two bets....boise - agaisnt iowa and tcu against whoever they played........bcs knows now no matter which team wins they are safe...........thats the sick part........these two teams just going by point spreads for the year are the 2nd and third best teams according to oddsmakers.......if they are i dont know.......by i would bet accordingly........and now i cant.....joke
I somewhat of a fan of the BCS, and although this year is an aberration, I agree something needs to be done. Even a four team playoff would leave out an undefeated team. An 8-team playoff is overkill, diluting the reg season.
Maybe something like HOF voting. Voters give a list of the teams they want in the playoffs, and the teams in must get at least 75% of the vote. Take a min of 4 (some might not get to 75%), up to a max of 8. This year you'd presumably have 5 teams, with Cinny playing BSU as 4 vs 5, winner playing Alabama and Texas playing TCU. Most years a 4 team playoff, no more than three rounds, no "filler" teams that shouldn't be there.

This is a joke. Boise and TCU deserve at least to not have to play each other in their BCS game. We just had this matchup last year. I know nobody at either school (looking at the message boards) is happy about what the BCS did. Everyone is pretty pissed off that they thought this was a good idea. Kept they really put us small guys in our place.

As long as we have this system and not a playoff....your going to have this debate every year....we even have it in March about who gets left out of the NCAA tourney...but with that, it really doesnt matter because those teams left out wouldnt win the title anyway....I would have loved to have seen TCU play Bama....I was hoping Nebraska beat Texas...but even if that would have happened....Boise or Cincy would have had a gripe....Texas and Bama were both unbeaten in the power conferences...with the system we have, Im cool with the matchup....just disappointed...I think the game itself will suck...I dont think there is a dominate team out there....and this includes Texas and Alabama....
