My sources tell me the STL Cardinals have inked BRAD PENNY to a 1 yr deal worth approx 7M and close to 3M in incentives. Should be a solid #4 guy and benefit greatly from the best pitching coach in the league.

that's is widely being reported now as 7.5M with 1.5M in incentives. Should be lots of deals in the coming days!

Who is his agent?.... He had an ERA close to 5 last year....No way I would give him 7.5 guaranteed... It should have been more like 4m with 4m in incentives. Good for him though, if he can get away with it.

Your first blockbuster trade....

The first blockbuster deal of the winter will ship Detroit Tigers All-Star center fielder Curtis Granderson to the New York Yankees in a three-team swap that will also pry St. Louis native and former Mizzou All-American Max Scherzer out of Arizona. Multiple media reports, including ones at SI.com and with The New York Post, have said a deal is close to be finalized that will move Granderson to the Bronx, Scherzer to Detroit, and pitchers Ian Kennedy and Edwin Jackson to Arizona.

Scratch Bobby Crosby from the Rockies' list of utility player candidates. The free agent is on the verge of signing with the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he will be given a chance to compete for a starting job. The Rockies liked Crosby's versatilty — a right-handed bat who could back up first and third base. But Crosby would not have a chance to start with the Rockies, where the infield is set heading into next season."

Still waiting for my Orioles to make a fucking move.
"There are multiple teams embroiled in the Kevin Millwood sweepstakes with the Rangers, but the Orioles appear to have faded from a favorite to just another contender. The two teams have exchanged names of pitching prospects that could be sent from Baltimore to Texas, but there appears to be a cavernous gulf between what the Rangers want and what they can get.
This much is certain: The Rangers and Orioles match up well in terms of money. Texas is trying to shed some salary and Baltimore has plenty of room in the budget as well as a pressing need for starting pitching. The Rangers reportedly asked the Orioles for Chris Tillman, while Baltimore would prefer to trade David Hernandez or Brandon Erbe."

LOL, the last thing my O's need is another high-priced bust of a pitcher! We will continue to build within our farm system. Im just waiting for our young talent to progress and then an offseason signing would be appropriate. Another bat would be great and maybe another arm. But they should definately not overspend here. And most likely wont. The O's seem to be irrelevent every offseason. Sucks for us O's!

I honestly wouldn't like to know. Every time you post an "inside source" post about the MLB, MLBtraderumors already has it posted.
