Two totally different types of players but Wall is sick might go as far as saying he's better than Melo was. Could see him leading wildcats to a National Title just like Melo did his frosh year.

What Boxer said.
Wall is as talented a freshman that has emerged in a long time, but let's see him play a full 30+ game season before we dub him the next Michael Jordan, and Kentucky the next hoop champs.

Dude does have serious game however.

#1 -- no doubt at this point

Just watch him play...if Calipari can pound a little more maturity into him I can see him taking them all the way

kid is off the chain. i never knew he could ball this good.

UofK is exceeding my expectations of them with this young bunch and Cal's 1st year.

i'm still not sure they can go undefeated , they'll probably lose 1, maybe 2 garbage games in conference, like Ole Miss or Miss St. or S. Carolina.

It usually takes Calipari 4+ years to get a program on probation .. so enjoy him now...

No doubt a great talent but after watching him last night, believe he has to improve on his shooting a bit which I'm sure he will over time. Will be a great pro regardless IMHO.

Ted,

You are right, he needs to be come more consistent on his jumper and needs to be able to hit the 3 points shot.

Improve on his shooting? He is a point guard averaging 57% shooting from the floor, and 39% from 3 point range. 81% free throw shooter.

I have heard from numerous coaches on TV (calhoun last night) that he is the best basketball player coming out of high school in the past 20 years. That includes Lebron James.

Down the stretch last night he was simply unguardable. The guy is a total freak athlete with the shooting capabilities of Reggie Miller, and the court awareness of Jason Kidd. He is averaging 3 steals a game and 7 assists a game too. Last night he got 25 points only playing 9 minutes of the first half.

He is a lock 1st pick in the draft 2010. They say he is a better athlete than Derrick Rose, and Rose is the best athlete I've ever seen in person.

I'm trying to figure out how people who watched him last night are saying he needs to improve :think2:

He shot 62% last night, and down the stretch I think he scored 12 of the last 15 points for Kentucky. He gets better come clutch time. He also had 6 steals.

I don't remember him missing a shot down the stretch, and UConn knew he was going to be taking every shot.

They brought up an unreal point after the game that the last KNICK to score 25 points and have 6 steals in a game at home at Madison Square Garden was in 1986 I believe. Wall did it in his first game there as a freshman in college against a great team.

Calhoun said he is the best PG to come into college bball since Jason Kidd and he would make an impact in the NBA right now.
