Since I have had a few responses to these pool emails I thought I would give info on a Golf Pool I have played in for 8 years. The cost is $110. You pick one winner for every tournament from the first tourney in Hawaii 1/7 thru the Tour Championship 9/23. You can pick a golfer only one time in the contest (so you could not pick Mickelson every major). You can pick the previous years winner. You earn what your golfer earns. If he finishes 3rd and makes 400K you get 400K points in the pool. If your pick misses the cut or does not play in the tourney you get zero. The only bummer with a pool like this is that you will get a golfer no-show for a tourney that he finished in the top 10 a year ago.

It is fun and will keep you interested in the PGA (as long as your golfer is in the tourney and makes the cut!!) You will actually have an interest in the John Deere Classic..lmao.

The pool is split into 4 segments and the top 6 people in each segment win a cash prize. The overall top 12 people at years end get paid. He also has a cash prize for most cuts made.

Entries are due and must be emailed by 1/7. If you are interested please IM me your email address and I will send you the info. If any of you join I get a $10 credit towards my entry so I would ask you mention my name. We can do this via PM. I will bump this thread a few times before the start if the mods don't mind.

Let me know.:103631605

LOL..Yes but it caps out at 11 (meaning if you get 12 you don't get money back). You pick the winner of all tournaments BEFORE the season begins. That is what makes it so hard and sometimes frustrating if your golfer decides to "take a week off" but you have plenty of tourneys to catch up during the year.

I agree but you would have to remember to do your pick 38 times and I can guarantee not all 100 players would do them (would you remember the Reno Tahoe Open). With vacations, work, summertime etc very easy to forget. This way it is fair across the board. The pool does have a lot of luck involved. Shit I have players in my football pool (only 38 members) who forget to do their picks all the time. You figure we (at the RX) are rare breeds!! Happy holidays WNO.

happy holidays to you too...

the forgetting part is easily handled...

you have 38 weeks .. everybody must play 30 of them .. any 30 you want.

that allows for vacations , forgetting or any other reason. once you hit 30 , you are done .

i have run tons of pools in my day...
