The downgrade is a concern because Sims-Walker had been taking it easy with a knee injury the past few weeks. The calf injury is new and may put his status for this week's game against Miami in jeopardy. Check back Friday for an update on his official status.

The upstart Jags are in trouble, as they'll also likely be without top cornerback Rashean Mathis (doubtful, groin) and top DL John Henderson (doubtful, shoulder). Mike Thomas figures to draw the start in place of Sims-Walker, but isn't a good fantasy option despite a favorable matchup against the Dolphins. David Garrard also is a weaker play without his top wide receiver.

Every report from Sunday morning indicated that Sims-Walker would not play, so this is quite a surprise. He appeared to have a setback late in the week and missed practice on Thursday and Friday. He's an obvious high-risk fantasy play, and we have serious reservations about using him as a WR3 this week. Jags inactives: CB Rashean Mathis, OLB Chris Harrington, WR Tiquan Underwood, DT John Henderson, OG Kynan Forney, DB Courtney Greene, DL Julius Williams, and OG Paul McQuistan.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>ESPN.com's AFC South blogger Paul Kuharsky has him missing practice, though, so there's some confusion here. Sims-Walker was listed as a would-be non-participant on Monday, so the full practice would be a pleasant surprise. He's just a borderline WR3 against the Colts Thursday night.

He practiced in full on Wednesday.
MSW has struggled while seeing more double coverage of late, managing just six combined catches for 64 yards and no touchdowns in his last three games. We're not recommending him as more than a WR3 in a pretty difficult matchup. Expect the Jags to enter Thursday night with a run-first game plan.
