First off , based on seeing the trailer this wasnt a must see for me. But a good friend of mine who is a assistant for a hollywood producer asked me if I wanted to go see a preview (Gotta love free shit ). Let me tell you whatever amount of money they spent on Avatar 350 million or 500 million it was well worth it (watching it in 3D was like your eyeballs having a orgasm). The two and a half hours just fly by, and the last 30 minutes alone -- a truly nutty extended battle sequence are worth the price 10x over . The 3D effects make those Navii things look real and I bet you will find yourself literally sitting and swaying your hands back and forth, trying to get rid of the bugs and insects in front of you . It's practically magical.. This movie is not a mindless action CGI flick it has a great storyline and you actually care about the Navii and the planet of Pandora . James Cameron has definitely raised the bar to another level in movie making. I really dont post much but I havent felt this way about a movie since the first Star Wars movie . I must say for 2 plus hours I felt like I was 10 again . Thank You Mr Cameron for re-acquainting my inner child in me whom I'd forgotten about until tonight.

Thanks for the writeup.

Can't wait to see it now!

Post more, I'm sure you have a lot more to share with everyone here.

Thanks!

Julesluffa:

I'm thinking about taking my 10 and 12 yr old boys, but noticed
it has a PG-13 rating. I'm curious why the PG-13 rating, and if you
thought it would be ok for kids of that age to watch.

Do they hand out those red and blue glasses like they did in the old days?

More and more 3D movies are coming out. I'm going to have to get a few pairs of those 3D glasses and keep them.

makes me want to see it, and I dislike movie theaters, haven't been to one in like 5 years.

I am usually not a big fan of movies like this. However, it sounds like I will go out on a limb and see this movie.

just overheard something on TV about 3-D television and the NFL and NBA even olympics considering it..

you need a 60" plasma for it to be truly effective I guess
