Mine was a 46" LCD and I thought it was the biggest TV ever. After awhile it didn't seem that big and I ended up putting it the bedroom. About 6 months ago I bought a 58" Plasma and said "Man this thing is awesome!!!". Now it doesn't seem that big anymore. Am I nuts or do any of you degenerate gamblers share my opinion??

i agree. my first was a 42 inch plasma that i got in 2005 -- don't remember what brand it was, but it had a feature on the remote that would swivel the tv to the left and right. paid $2500 for it, but ended up taking it back to the store for a refund when i moved back stateside because my insurance would only cover tvs for a max of $1000, and everybody told me how easy plasmas get damamged during shipment.

so anyway, i got a 50 inch plasma about 6 months ago for roughly $1100....i'm used to it now, but when i go to my brother's or my dad's house i definitely notice the difference. i'll never understand why someone with a regular 27 inch tv would splurge on a riding mower and neglect to get a big screen tv. some people just don't know how to set their priorities.

My parents are 85 and still have the 27" Toshiba Blackstripe I bought them 30 years ago. I guess that is why they are loaded......They never buy more then they need and they think everyone is too materialistic now and they only care about accumulating stuff. Can't say I disagree with them.

Can't agree more. I bought this tv recently and I'm already getting tired of how small it is.

I wound up buying a 46'' Samsung for the living room, and should have gone larger. Then Fry's had a great deal on a 46" Sony that I bought for the bedroom and football. Wish I never got the Sony as it doesn't compare to the Samsung picture. Now I'm thinging of going to a 50-55" Samsung for the living room and putting the smaller Samsung in the bedroom with the Sony. Doesn't hurt watching two games at once.

This is not TVs, this is the life of most people. A [1] [2] will make me happier! And it will, for a few months, then it won't and you'll want a [1] one. Just gotta break the cycle :)

1=bigger, faster, more expensive, better, etc
2=tv, car, house, woman, etc

giant, i strongly recommend the 50 inch panasonic plasma, 1080p....going for around 700 or 800 right now....3 hdmi outlets, a sim card slot, and a couple other things i ain't bothered to mess with.....

as long as you're not into all the gadgetry, i think it's the best value on the market

We're in the process of re-doing our fireplace, and are going to
put a flat screen above it something like this:

Though, I think I'm going to want a bigger one than this, because our room
and ceiling are a lot bigger.

Go for it! I was in a house recently that had this set up and I was super impressed, I believe this will be my next purchase as well, currently have a 56in LCD that I really like, but we are talking about moving and if we do I think ill leave that here and get myself a projector for the basement :toast:

These things are so cheap right now, if you don't have at least a 42" your either a cheap bastard or broke as hell.

I've got a 50 & a 42 and I want a 3rd for the bedroom.
