just came to the conclusion that all the new artists from today blow. I'm 48 and that was a great time growing up listening to Rock and Roll. Most of these artists are still relevant today. Rap music makes me want to shoot myself. Country music is horrible and top 40 Pop sucks as well. I guess I'll keep listening to my ipod that is loaded with classic rock. Man I'm getting old.

Great concert. Saw the 4 hour version a couple of weeks ago and brought back some great memories as I grew up listening to much of that music. I agree that today's music can't compare IMHO. I recorded the concert and have watched it twice more since the original viewing. Keep on keeping on oldtimer!

The names go on and on about the groups from that era Ted. Today's artists come and go.
try checkin out these bands: wilco, my morning jacket, and the new pornographers...before you make ignorant statements like 'music today sucks'....i could go on for days about how much that statement pisses me off being a working musician myself...these happen to be 3 bands that have made it...couldn't even begin to tell you the countless bands that are fantastic that will never see the lite of day...

I think theres old shit thats garbage and new shit thats garbage.. new shit thats amazing and older shit thats impossible to top.

no worries..just hear that alot...n when guys make those comments...i get a lil bugged.....i work my ass off to get ahead in a BUISNESS(unfortunately that's what it became)...where the odds are worse than becoming a pro athlete...now i aint complainin..cuz i've been around the world twice over playin music..and have made a comfortable home and family from music....but there really is a whole lotta great music out there just waiting to be heard.....peace mate
