I purchased the complete original series on DVD last year from Amazon when it was on sale. Just getting around to watching them and I have to admit it is the best purchase I made in a long time. I remember when I was a little kid I used to watch the marathons on the holidays with my mom as she was also a fan of the show.
I like the one with Burgess Meredith and his obsession with reading books. I know what he feels like. Having a full time job and a social life interferes with doing the shit that I like doing by myself like enjoying my DVD collection or playing video games.
If you do the math an average person maybe gets an hour or so out of each 24 hour period that he can call his own. Lets say you are married with children you spend 10-11 hours a day working (includes lunch and commute times). Then if you are lucky 8 hours sleeping. So that leaves you with 5-6 hours to distribute to your wife, kids, and chores. After all that is said and done how much time do you leave for yourself?
