My friend just emailed me that you can get $25 gift certificates to local restaurants for only $3 until tomorrow. Just enter in code 'Snow' and it will give you the discount.

People will think you are a putz if you give these out. They are essentially a coupon as you still have to spend like $35 or something before they kick in.

Also, you can usually get them for $2, so this isn't even their best deal.

I've touted restaurant.com before, here, Good deals, and so forth.

However this is like giving somebody $1-5 for Christmas, depeding on what % you got off.

This is a scumbag non-gift, cheapskate gift.

You're not the only guy with a computer.

Why don't you just give them those coupons for McDonalds that come in the newspaper every day. That is a pretty embarrassing Christmas present to give.... IMO

I've bought those things where you pay $50 and get $100 worth of food. It was good stuff. The local radio stations always have stuff like that which restaurants use to promote themselves.

At the end the bill came for like $120 so all I had to pay was $20 and tip the waiter.

It's usually a $35 food minimum with $25 off, not valid on Sat/Day. Tipped at 18% of full check. Sweet deal !

I use them. I used one once, the waiter , asked me how I got it. He was a white guy, about 45.

I tell him, he knows nothing about computers.

I give him one for a different local restaurant ( got them for $1 on an earlier promo).

The dude is all thanking me....He can take one of the waitresses there, cheap date stuff !

It's a terrible gift, anybody that's not an idiot knows you paid $1-8 for it. Average it at $3-4

That coupon seemed more valuable to the waiter than the $10, or so , I tipped the guy.

These coupons are absolutely nothing like that. If someone gave me $5 for Christmas that would be awesome because I could buy $5 worth of whatever I wanted. If someone gave me one of these things it would be completely worthless and unuseable

I just read what's on the link. I don't think it would be a good gift.

I was thinking it was like a gift certificate.

I hate coupons and rebates. Restaurants don't like to take them and give you a hard time and grocery stores no longer double coupons. I used to buy that Entertainment Book years ago that offered a lot of buy one get one free deals at different scales of restaurants. Nearly 80% of the places in the Entertainment Book refuse to accept the coupons saying they are franchised and shit.

The only coupons I will use are my Del Taco ones that I get in the mail once a month.

There are really only two places I use these at, but it is a great deal.

Minimum food is 35

spend about 40, 8 tip, 2 for the coupon.

50-25=25 total expense. Pretty good for two people eating stuff like lobster, prime rib, scallops, etc.

no shipping, you print the "certificates"

Saw this and printed about 10 up. Used one yesterday and spent about $13 for a great meal for me and my 2 boys. Even had some for tonight. Well worth it.

Told my sister about it and she was way ahead of me. My brother in law works for Miller and somehow gets coke rewards and they get free meals twice a week by him collecting cans and caps at work. Just a tip they pay.

I only have two places in this state ( CT), that are worth using for this deal.

I went to one of them a few days ago ( about 25 miles).

place is shut down until spring/ re-organizing/ re-opening, etc.

I never thought they'd be closed the Friday before X-mas !

Places that do restaurant.com, might not be doing too well ? $25 0ff of $35 is a super deal !

I loved this place, great food !

I wouldn't really use restaurant.com as an average Vegas tourist. Plenty of food deals exist there, already.

I lived there 5+ years, SS knows the town somewhat, great for locals of LV...I wouldn't suggest this for most people going to LV, not really needed there, IMO !
