Is 2 rings for Manning enough to vault him over Montana as the greatest QB ever ?

Or over whoever is considered the best ?

Do we rate the greatest ever by the number of rings ?

If I had to choose between Peyton Or Favre as being the best ever or who I would rather have as a young, franchise QB, I'd just throw their names in a hat & draw one out.

I like Joe Montana and used to think he was the best ever, but now I look back and believe he had more to work with over his career in San Francisco who was also a top notch organization who knew what they were doing.

It's no coincidence that Steve Young had so much success there also......

rings are not the only criteria for greatness.......manning if he gets another ring or not is in the aikman/tarkenton era and very possibly joe montana like rememberance.....he is one of the best ever as is marino who has no rings.......

If this were the 40's, Manning would be a legendary WWII general. I have nothing but respect for him.

Manning is the best QB to ever play already - this ain't hoops - he's only on the field about 47% of the time

I love me some Pats and Brady, but I'd still say Manning is the best ever... If Farve were to get another ring this year we might have to revisit this.

Payton Manning will have a hard time eclipsing the historical greatness of Walter Peyton.

Unless any QB can win 5 titles over their career, they won't be the best ever (for me).

Manning, and 10 other QBs are "in the debate" right now but nobody stands out among them.

Babe Ruth, Gretzky, and Pele are undoubtedly the best ever. There is nobody like that on football.
