pretty sure there are plenty of discounted tickets left for that drizzler of a game

I hope OSU gets RAPED by Oregon. Most overrated team in the modern history of college football.. Embarassing that they rep the Big 10, what a joke.

I'm gonna go make some Ohio State cookie dough.. It's easy.. All you have to do is put it in a bowl and beat it for 3 hours.

So much for the myth of Iowa traveling well. Blame Obama.

Wrong

I need 19 tickets, do you see me buying my tickets from the University???.......they are CRAP SEATS AND EXPENSIVE!!!

I had 50 yard lines seats at the last Orange Bowl when Iowa sent 48,000 fans and paid a mere $90 for the tickets.

You think I want to spend 120 bucks and sit in the corner of the end zone?????

There will be a minumum 33,000 Iowa fans at this game........they will not send as many fans as the last Orange Bowl for the following reasons...........

1. Georgia Tech vs USC
2. Iowa fans had sights set on Fiesta
3. Economy
4. Team finished weak after contending for national title
5. Iowa State fans in the state actually have a bowl game to attend this year in Arizona.

Make no mistake about it, Iowa will be well represented at the Orange Bowl, as they have been in all their previous bowl games.

I went when Maryland played Florida in 2002. There were plenty of seats available outside for $20. I don't know if you will get them all together but I think you could get 4 to 6 together. There will be tons of tickets out there for cheap. I would be shocked if anyone had to pay more than half of face value.

Well, the last time Iowa attended the Orange Bowl it was a complete sellout.........hell, there were 55,000 Iowa fans there alone.

I'm counting on a minimum of 30,000 Iowa fans being at this game, and I would think GT would send at least that many being as close to Miami as they are..........tickets will not be easy to come by in my opinion.............but I should get a good seat for no more then $70, compared to the $120 the University is selling.

Then why are there tickets available? Iowa fans bought them no matter what before. If I'm flying from Iowa to Miami, I couldn't care less where my tix are as long as I know I'm in a warm climate.

get there 2-3 hours early so long as you are willing to split into groups of 2-4, there will be plenty of seats available at reasonable prices outside the stadium.

The majority of Iowa fans will be there 9 hours before kickoff..........

Again, was to the last Iowa Orange Bowl and there were thousands and thousands waiting at the gates at 11:00 am and earlier for the 8:15 start............and I remember having drank a six-pack in the car before the gates even opened.

I think this game being on a Tuesday should help a little in terms of finding a good seat.....maybe.

GT bringing 30k fans? That's funny.

Other than the UGA game, do they even sell-out home games?

Ive been to Orange Bowls, there will be plenty of seats outside. this is a non-marquee pointless game, as most bowls are. Locals have no interest and something like 25% of tickets are presold or given away locally. There will be a lot of sellers and not many buyers outside. Almost all the people going already have their tickets.

Obviously you were not at the IOWA-USC bowl game........

MIAMI (AP) - The Orange Bowl has seen nothing like it - at least in terms of fan following.

Orange Bowl officials said Iowa fans have snapped up more than 47,000 tickets for Thursday's game against No. 5 Southern California, a record for fans traveling from outside of Florida.

"Iowa has the distinction of having the most fans of any non- Florida team in Orange Bowl history," said Larry Gautier, an Orange Bowl official.

The previous mark was set in 1985 when 30,000 fans traveled from Washington to attend the game between Washington and Oklahoma.

Officials estimate that another 10,000 Hawkeye fans who couldn't get tickets are expected to tailgate outside Pro Player Stadium before and during.

I did.

About the last time Iowa made the Orange Bowl. The Orange Bowl has little marquee anymore if it not the BCS championship. Thank the brain surgeons who ruined the Jan 1 bowls.
