Shocked that this line is only 3. SD is locked in at #2 and won't be in to this Christmas day game at all.

31-19 Thumbtacks.

Way too much bad blood between these two teams for the Chargers not to be into it. Don't know if they will win or lose but I know they will be pumped for this game tonight. Now the Colts on the other hand...

I actually am thinking the exact opposite as I like the Titans who are fighting for a playoff spot whereas the Chargers have nothing to play for. Also this Titan team is 7-1 since Vince Young took over the team. As for the Colts, they want to go 19-0 no matter what they say. Pressure will be their main problem but I like both of these teams as a nice 2 team parlay.

SD needs to win to clinch the #2 seed.

Not according to the Yahoo simulator they don't. Even if SD, Cincy & NE finish @ 11-5.....SD is #2. They obviously have the H2H over Cincy so they must have the better conference record over NE...Don't feel like looking it up.

SD is off of an 8 game win streak and has nothing to play for here. Titans are still alive in the W/C hunt....Mathematically at least.

Intangibles aside...Titans match up well here and should drop 30 today.

The thing is I saw a preview of this game on ESPN that included interviews with the Chargers. They did not sound like a team that was going to coast through this game. They feel that there were a lot of cheap shots taken in their previous games. You could see it in River's face that this was going to be an important game to him. I have no horse in this race so GL.

I do. I'm sick of trying to figure out these "trap lines" in the NFL. They screw me everytime. I'll take the division leader that hasn't lost a December game in years.

I have never heard a player or coach say before a game that " We really don't care if We win this game ". Talk means almost nothing ! Kinda like a forensic scientist at a crime scene where they pay no attention to theories but follow the evidence. OK I've been watching too much CSI !
My point is that no matter what the coach or players may say, what matters are the facts and the fact is that the Titans need this game bad and the Chargers don't. In bowl games I always try to figure out who really wants to be at the game and who doesn't ! Example so far this year are Oregon State who came oh so close to going to the Rose Bowl or California that was regulated to a second tier Bowl game. On the other end of the coin are teams like Wyoming and SMU that were just thrilled to finally sniff a Bowl game. Looking forward there are plenty of other candidates like Oklahoma, Clemson and USC to name a few. The only problem with wagering against USC is that Pete Carroll always seems to get his team up for the Bowl games. However for USC it's usually the BCS or Rose Bowl......Give me a break.. The Emerald Bowl ! GL to all and Happy Holidays to everyone !

Central Florida was the motivated team by all accounts against Rutgers. That aside, I think the line is about right. If people thought San Diego was super motivated, they wouldn't be a 2.5 point dog in the first place. Good luck whichever way you play.

I hear you. Talk is cheap. I've just got a good feeling that the Chargers are going to show up. I personally feel that the wrong team is favored. But Home field is an advantage. The NFL and NcaaF are totally different. Pros vs. Amateurs.
Soon we shall find out what team wants it more. It just sucks that I have to watch this game on my computer rather than my flat screen.:toast:
