Whoops. '61 Topps.

None graded. All the new cards are in good shape. The older cards differ. Some have small creases or rounded corners. None would grade at a 9 or 10. I'm guessing 5-7 would be the average for most. Somewhere in there.

Nah. I can take pictures after I'm done with all the holiday stuff. I doubt they'll show too much detail since it will just be a digital camera and cards tend to reflect light sometimes. I'll see what I can get together.

yeah u might have urself a virtual "common" now.. heh jk..

any of the older stuff I might be interested.. u have all four sports in pre 1970s? or is it real sparatic?

also.. dont feel bad about the mantle droppin.... for the most part newer cards are mass produced and the companies have ruined new collecting for the most part.. the "funny" / fake money (as far as i am concerned) is always going to go down in value after the initial wave of shock value... anything pre 1970 (truely pre 1969) has already adjusted and has either leveled off or steadily increased over 5-10 yr bar graphs.. kind of like a steady stock.. investing in Fly by night company A might be worth while for a week hold but if u plan on holding year+ be careful

also consider just stashing these bad boys away.. ebay all your "junk" and keep the pre 1970 stuff in a small water proof/fire proof safe. maybe even slab the really key cards (but honestly I "hate" encasing) takes away from the old feel and fun imo.

but i still got my Chris Mullin collection. have no idea why i saved it.

If it makes you feel any better.... my John Starks collection is at about 200 various cards.

I still think that guy was incredible. He could stroke the 3 all night (no game 7 references please) and he played some mean defense. One of the reasons I like Artest now. I like defense.
