His coaching ability is overrated. He won his first title off of Zook's recruits. Strong does the majority of the recruiting & he is bailing. He lives off of good work at Bowling Green & b.s. BCS win over a fraud BCS team in Pittsburgh that one year.

First off, Jim Tressel AND Bob Stoops won NC's in their second seasons at Ohio State and Oklahoma, respectively. Did they win w/ the other coaches recruits?
Spurrier won the SEC championship in his second season at UF. Paul Johnson just won the ACC in his second season. Brian Kelly won the Big East in his second season. Mark Richt & Nick Saban won SEC titles in their second seasons at UGA and LSU. Nick Saban and Les Miles won the SEC title (Les won the NC and Nick is playing for it) in their 3rd season at Bama and LSU, respectively. Did these coaches win w/ the other guys players?

I will give you that a coach like, Larry Coker won w/ Butch Davis' players. But Urban Meyer has shown that he can recruit w/ the best of them. He won at Bowling Green and had an undefeated season at Utah. He didn't win SHIT w/ someone else's players. The guy is THE BEST....or top 3 coaches in all of college football. Too bad you don't agree....but it seems the ESPN college crew agrees as UF and Meyer got a free 2 hour infomercial today on the UF program and UF football. And SI named him Coach of the Decade. But, sure, he won w/ Ron Zook's (an idiot) players. Yeah, that's a great argument.
