at phoenix for the ole miss game it has the regular line than alternate line -3,3.5+100. so what does this mean? and if you play it what happens if one pushes one loses? i would think you would lose but for those odds thats terrible....i have to be missing something here..
Just guessing but I would say the -3 has juice attached (probably -110 or even -120) while the -3.5 is even money if you lay the extra half point. Probably plus 3 is minus 110 or minus 120 and plus 3.5 is -110 or more likely -120.
The alternate gives you a choice.
There is also a possibility that the alternate means that you can switch favorites and lay or take heavy juice on either side at opposite the actual number. For example you can have Ole Miss the Favorite plus 3 instead of minus 3 but you have to lay some heavy juice like -60 or 70 cents.
Your example makes it for me at least a bit difficult to be sure what it means.
i played it for a small amount to try and figure out wtf it is. still no clue. i figured youd have a choice, but both lines are displayed for the play.

Apparently you have both numbers at even money. The only advantage you get from this is (I think) a push if Ole Miss wins by 3 exactly. In order to cash you need the Rebs to win by 4 or more.

got ya.i thought if Ole Miss won by 3 it would lose, as i tried stating above. I have a hard time explaining my thoughts heh. but if it pushes i suppose it is a little better than playing -3 at -128 or so for the regular line.
