A lot of "experts" made the claim that the Cardinals were the worst team to ever make the playoffs last year.

Of course that was before they made their run to the Super Bowl.

Nobody is really talking about them this year either. All of the sudden the Packers or the Eagles are the sexy pick to go from the NFC.

I think the Cards play best when they dont think they are being respected.

As far as the Jets being the worst ever if they make it? Their defense is too good to wear that label IMO.

Cards at least had a QB.

Sanchez could be worse QB ever in a playoff game, and that says a lot.

I Really Don't think they should have That Title...IMO

Look at How many Games that They "Had" it ALL for more than 3/4 ofthe Game....and Blew it on the Last plays of the Game.

Say What You Want about tem Being a "Bad" Team.

They Are STILL the #1 Defense in the NFL.

The Jets if they make the playoffs will be far from the worst playoff team ever. Their defense is very good to excellent and they will give either New England or Cincinnati a competitive game next weekend.

Baltimore will come to play also if they get in. Neither team is a soft spot. I'm hoping somehow The Raiders can knock off the Ravens but have little hope.

I give The Bengals little chance of beating The Jets tomorrow night. I like the Jets to win that game on the field, unfortunately they are unbetable as such huge favorites.

no....there have been worse...like many have said, their defense is too good to be the worst team ever in the playoffs...

they just need Sanchez to "Dilfer" it for them, and not make mistakes....let the defense win it, like the Ravens used to do

From ESPN's Page 2.

The 10 worst playoff teams in modern NFL history....<!-- begin pres by -->

The worst (click on title above to see the rest):

1989 Pittsburgh Steelers

<table class="tablehead widetable" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" width="100%"><tbody><tr class="colhead" valign="top"><td>Record</td> <td>Pts. scored rank</td> <td>Total off. rank</td> <td>Pts. allowed rank</td> <td>Total def. rank</td> <td>Pts. differential</td> </tr> <tr class="oddrow" valign="top"> <td>9-7</td> <td>24</td> <td>28</td> <td>15</td> <td>19</td> <td>-61</td> </tr> </tbody></table> <!-- end table -->Entry: Wild-card qualifier as No. 5 seed in AFC.
Overview: Compared to their statistics, the Steelers overachieved greatly to reach 9-7. With Bubby Brister at the wheel, this team finished dead last in the league in offensive yardage. Hey, Weegie Thompson couldn't do it all by himself.
Playoff outcome: Won 26-23 at wild-card qualifier Houston. Lost 24-23 at AFC West champion and eventual AFC champ Denver.
Legacy: After churning out a mediocre regular season, the Steelers turned on the afterburners to enjoy a respectable playoff engagement in Chuck Noll's last postseason appearance.
