I'm so glad Dawson got in, but was really hoping he would go in a Cub. Yes, I get that he established himself as an Expo, but if he wants to go in as a Cub, why not let him?
This stems from Wade Boggs getting offered and ALLEGED $1 million to go in as a Devil Ray.
The HOF say they want to perserve the game and I agree with Dawson's quote on a Chicago radio station saying that the desicion was made, essentially, to perserve the name of the Montreal Expos as a francise.
Any opinions on this? Should a player be able to choose what team he goes in as? I know Cubs fans will be upset, what about you guys and gals in the Montreal area? Should this rule be in place?
