He turned the whole tenor of the game around going into halftime. Run it out, then start the 2nd H only down 11. Tx scores twice, and should be up 21-17. Might have changed it all. I hate Tx, but thought they outplayed Bama for the most part. Coaches cost more games w/stupid decisions than players ever do.:toast:

He felt confident in his defense's ability to respond and the play was open. TX leads the nation in blocked kicks over the past 10 years, they would have convereted 4th and 23, if the kicker just threw it a little further.

ALL runs except for 8 Pass attempts resulting in 4 sacks, 2 incomplete, 2 complete, 2 runs by McElroy for + 6yds. They were NEVER agressive and would not have been. Saban knows McElroy's limitattions. YES they won, but even w/o McCoy to face, they were in a fight till the last 5 mins. And w/o Brown's stupidity & McCoy's injury, we may have had a different result.
Texas WR including Shipley dropped some key passes that should have been catches. Especially the one by Williams in the end zone. Tough, but catchable!:toast:

had to go into the kitchen during the game & in the kitchen i only have radio. what a difference. gruden on the radio or the 'chickenshit', vanilla announcers on abc. you can get an education from gruden; he'll tell you what's happening. returning from the kitchen, i realized, these tv announcers are pretty bad. i had bama & i agree, give texas a lot of credit. was saying to myself w/abt 4 mins left, 'if bama wins, i wouldn't even vote them nr 1, if i had a vote.'Notice how the chickenshit announcers NEVER once criticized Brown for his stupid play call? What was so bad about the call? Inside shovel pass isn't exactly high risk. Yeah I suppose personally I would have just ended the half but its not as if this was a brutal call.
Now Saban and his 4th and 23 gamble...now that was beyond words.
