if they can get a good tv deal i have a feeling they can at least get wwe's attention. a lot of hardcore wwe fans are upset at the "new" wwe. the whole transition from the attitude era to sports entertainment has really rubbed some people the wrong way. i used to be a die hard fan, and still would occasionally tune in from time to time. but ever since they changed to 'PG' I have totally lost any interest that was left. The edgy content that got the ball rolling is now gone. There are no more story lines that push the envelope, no more swearing, no more flashing of the boobs, and they even got rid of cutting (bleeding). McMahon is going after the mainstream audience. He makes a point now of saying this is entertainment that will cater to an entire family, no longer just the 13 - 50 year old males. The guest host angle they are currently doing where they have a different celebrity host raw each week is a perfect example of this. They are using fame to attract a wider audience, and with that they can't live on the edge of is that ok for television material.
While Vince has picked up some fans, he has also alienated the fans that put him in this position. WWE will never again be how it was from 95 -01, but TNA seems to be willing to fill their void, and with that there will be some ex wwe fans looking for the type of wrestling they used to enjoy.

They have no clue how to create new stars. Their idea of "new stars" is waiting to see who in the WWE fails a drug test and go from there.

I hate Vince but he is the man at making people into stars.

TNA is basically the same old thing that WCW was. They would get washed up WWE stars and have them join the NWO. Eris Bischoff is horrible. He is no Vince.

If somehow they had a huge financial backing then maybe they could do something but I just don't see it.

Anyone thinking that a has-been like Hogan will help their company out must have no clue about good business.

Absolutely not as the same mistakes made in WCW will be made here judging by what they showcased on Monday. Go back to the start of the second hour, you have Hogan come out to music similar to the NWO (a trademark the WWE owns now), & in NWO colors. He is joined by Eazy E!

Then you have Hall, Nash, & Waltman come out to join these two. Oh & what do we have here? Sting in the rafters!

Now this is January 4th, 2010 with this going on. Now go find an old WCW Monday Nitro episode from 10-12 years ago & you would seen the same damn thing to start off the 2nd hour!

NOTHING NEW!

They claim it is about the new guys yet most of the show featured oldtimers from the past jerking each other off with insider stories that happened over a decade ago.

During the main event, you have one of the faces of the company, AJ Styles & Kurt Angle being overshadowed by Ric Flair coming out to watch & Hogan after the match.

They will get crushed if they stick with this playbook.

ok>> But Tna being on Monday Night wil force WWE into better shows which is a win for all of us... What TNA should have done is really held Jeff Hardy to make a bigger impact. Jeff Hardy is over plain and simple... WWE bent over backwards to keep him.. For some reason the fans love this Guy... Hogan and Bischoff admitted somethings were good and other stunk.. I think eventually TNA will bet better. And really why push Shamus he has a terrible look and can not talk... I would rather have somebody like MVP or Christian to watch... @):)

Hardy is arguably the most over guy in the business, a multiple time world champion in a company they admit is the big dog. Yet, they have him debut nonchalantly in a X-Division match.

Proof they are fucking clueless!

Either one of these can compare to the AWA in it's hayday.

Do any of you guys remember the classic matchup of Kenny "Sodbuster" Jay and Frankie Hester? A classic matchup.:toast:

Just an FYI for those that don't follow politics much. Linda McMahon has left the building and is now a serious contender for the republican primary in Connecticut. She wants Chris Dodd's seat. I believe she is the front runner even though Peter Schiff will drop kick her in a debate.

How is Ring of Honor doing these days? Big fan of this group until Joe went to TNA and Punk to WWE.

Appears that TNA is trying to re-create the NWO days.

Imagine if Hardy plays the "Sting" role. Would be huge.

Instead, looks like:

1) Sting will play the Sting role (10+ years later)
2) Hardy is going to be wasted in X-Division
