Tony Dungy's success in turning the Tampa Bay Bucs' franchise around eventually led to opportunities for all of those who coached under him.

Herman Edwards - Coached the Jets & Chiefs for a while
Lovie Smith - Chicago Bears Head Coach
Rod Marinelli - Coached the Detroit Lions 2006-2008
Mike Shula - Head Coach at Alabama 2003-2006
Mike Tomlin - Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach
Jim Caldwell - Indianapolis Colts Head Coach
Joe Barry - Detroit Lions Defensive Coordinator 2006-2008
Leslie Frazier - Minnesota Vikings Defensive Coordinator

What would your combined overall grade be on all of the coaches above who were once under Tony Dungy? A few seem to have had some success but my gosh some of the others stunk it up big time......

I don't think thats a bad coaching tree at all. I mean you can't expect all the guys that coached under Dungy would be home rums. Tomlin has won a super bowl. Smith coached in the super bowl. Caldwell may very well get to the super bowl this year. Frazier is a top 3 D cordinator in the league and will get a head job soon, maybe this year. And the two guys that coached in Detroit, I mean seriously what coach has done well in Detroit in the last 40 years. Is it the Bill Walsh coaching tree. No but i would give it a B.
