Tough acts too follow as both were probably the 2 best TV series I have ever watched in my life.

Anyone have anything they would recommend? Been told Lost is good and the Wire but heard the Wire can be hard to keep up with.

Thanks!!

Yes, THE WIRE because it is finished.

Dexter is for another day because they are still making them.

I prefer watching them on DVD when they are all said and done.

If you have not seen the series "SIX FEET UNDER" then I would put that on the top of the list. It is incredible from beginning to end.

One of my all time favorites.

Are you going to go back and watch episodes or what?

Do you watch Curb Your Enthusiasm?

Watch the opening mini-series of the re-imagined version of Battlestar Galactica. You will not be sorry. It was one of the best written and best acted shows in television history and is nothing like the campy show from the 70s. From there you can determine if you want to watch the whole series.

Also, if you have a Playstation3 or Xbox, you can stream movies via NetFlix. It's unlimited streaming for $9 a month. If you rent more than 2 movies a month, you are throwing money away.

Yes that is the plan. We did watch the Soprano's as it was playing but had to catch up by watching a few years worth of DVD's from the beginning.

The Shield was suggested to us and we started a few months ago and are almost done with it. Never thought I would like something as much as the Soprano's but it is very close. Sad to be about done with the Shield. I was never a big TV cop show type guy but this was awesome.

Never seen Curb Your Enthusiasm. Will add it to my list.

Heard that the Wire is very complicated and kind of hard to keep up with, almost like you have to re-watch it but it's nice to hear otherwise on here.

What is up with Lost, heard that was a great show.

This is the new thing for us now, renting TV shows through Netflix. Lot better to me then doing the whole movie thing.

Brotherhood- Like Soprano's with white boys

Wire- If I can follow it you can. One of the best ever.

24- Still going on but I would love to erase it from my memory and go back and watch it again.

I dont know who told you that Wire is hard to follow. It's not at all, it would easily be my next suggestion...

My following would be Lost. It's a HIGHLY addictive show because its FULL of cliffhangers and makes your ask questions....

Still the two are very different shows. I would say the wire is better overall, but can't go wrong either way. If you are in your slow season, start lost because you will find yourself watching "just one more" because to cliffhangers, so you kill alot of time...

And NETFLIX is the BEST this EVER for tv series. I do the same.
