Absolutes/ Ub's $10/10K Guarantee

Hey what can i say its my big event of the day...lol

Im going to cut u guys in on a well kept secret....The Tourny structures at AP/UB are far better than anywhere else....Even the 1500 chip tournys play pretty deep..A patient guy could seriously finish in the money a very % playing nothing but premium hands and never stealing a blind..

Anyway...anybody else in it? Might catch me sitting at a .25/.50 NL game as well............

I don't see how you even get money into these places.

I just noticed that the PS quarter mil is about to go. Reminds me of the day when I used to play. Do I ever miss it.

I have read a lot of your posts about your play and how rigged it is online. I know amazing things happen online, but I also think that you may enable some of the bad beats with your playing style.

I hope that you don't think this is insulting, and I certainly have not evaluated your play, but I think that it is amazing for someone who has played as much as you have over the last 5 years that you aren't looking for a spot to steal small pots here and there with nothing. That is how you cash and win tournaments. When you make the comment, I'll fold 40 hands in a row at some point, that tells me that you are not looking for an opportunity, any opportunity, if it presents itself. Especially if you had the stack you had at the break.

If you want to become a winner, and I mean really truly a winner, and not someone that sort of deep down in to the core sort of cherishes losing so you can justify that this is rigged, then you are going to have to reevaluate and seriously think about your play. It sounds like you are not looking for every possible opportunity at the table, and maybe you don't know how or what to look for and that may be part of the problem.

I don't play poker anymore. However, I know what it takes to be a winner. It is work, tons of work. I also know what it is like to want to not work at being a winner and join in the "poker sucks" and "this is rigged" mantra. Crazy, it sometimes feels better to get unlucky, lose, or go on a bad run, so you can justify not working at it.

You have to decide if you want to be a winner or not. That is up to you.

I know this was unsolicited. Ignore it if you'd like.

OUCH!

I never ignore anyones advice....and im always thankful for feedback...
We had a few guys here at 1 time who helped keep me in line and as they've moved on i have i guess been in a free fall. i do work as hard as 99% of players on my game its my mind that fucks me up in the end....That and the fact that i really cant afford to play...i have no bankroll. Ill be at the casino tomorrow with Januarys rent on the table cus its what i do....
I should regroup and start over with a fresh outlook and a fat bankroll however i dont see that time coming soon....Im gonna scape and claw and scratch my way through until it kills me it looks like. Most people have long since wrote me off as a lost cause.....you may be right in that ive joined them.....

give up with UB. i keep all my play on full tilt and while it can be streaky, the best hands holds up about as often as it should. i can't feel bad for anyone that plays on any other site.

ps - sounds like you overplayed k/j

Someone was able to transfer $240 out of my AP account. I called it in to AP Security. They locked my account and are looking into it. Anyways, I am hoping I can get the money back but knowing AP and how they are a bunch of idiots, it may be lost for good. No big deal about the money since it's only a couple hundred but I will likely pull out the rest of my money from there.

I have accounts on 6 different sites. This is the first time something like this happened to me. I haven't lost 1 cent on any transaction thru my PC until this happened. My full time job is in computer security. Very unlikely I have a trojan/key stroke logger on my PC as I have a personal FW preventing traffic from going out without asking for approval first. If my PC was hacked, they would have went to another site instead of AP where most of my online money is. My password is not crackable by brute force either. Actually, I haven't been on AP for months so I am not ruling out an inside job or someone hacking their webserver. If I can ask AP Security some questions, I will be able figure that out. I doubt they will be even be able to answer my questions though.

I was able to get 27% rakeback at AP which is why I opened an account there but I got another rakeback deal at my main site so I rarely played at AP.

I had a few hands with the OPP before that 1 that told me she would be calling me light....I had actually played and won 3 or 4 of the last 10 hands and she was convinced i was stealing...so yea it looks overplayed it was actually based on the read of the situation....

You like FT good luck to you...i know several people who swear by it as well....Me i just swear at it. I dont even have it on my computer at this time and im hoping like hell i never get the urge to try it again...

My stats are not even close to that bad on any other site. that 51 is the player rating...every other site im between 77-88....Thats a pretty big difference that you would think would begin to even out after 319 MTT's......Afterall cards are cards and everybody EVENTUALLY gets the same cards right....

And ofcourse there is no such thing as a doomswitch either....I know this cus they just told me so....

#3.....Is there a time limit on the doomswitch u have me on? Its
been on since my last withdrawal last summer and i kinda think its
rather stupid for me to keep playing knowing you have me set to " never
win again"

Dear Allyn,

Thank you for contacting us.
Please keep in mind that our site does not benefit from any player winning or losing at our poker tables. In fact, we would like all our players to win all the time, but that is obviously not possible. Poker is primarily a game of skill, but since luck is also involved, there will be times when you will get a bad run of cards. It is not possible for us to manipulate the outcome of the games, and even if it were, we would not engage in any activities that might compromise our integrity.

We would like to assure you that Absolute Poker takes gaming very seriously and we invest heavily to ensure that our games are fair for all players. At the heart of our card-shuffling and dealing algorithm is our secure Random Number Generator (RNG). The RNG is a device designed to generate a sequence of numbers or symbols that lack any pattern. The randomness of our RNG has been fully tested and certificated by e-COGRA (e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance) and iTech Labs.

Best regards,

See ive been wrong all along. Im on a 319 MTT downswing at FT and a 100MTT downswing at AP....Thats all there is to it, nothing more. Take the chart below....The uphill climb is from tournys from $50-$300 buy-in...The downhill swing is $10 and less. So it is nothing at all, happens to ALL the greats, including those that win 15K a week , that they drop down from $100 to $10 and go on 100 MTT downswings....write any top ten player at Pocket fives im sure they will tell you it happens all the time.....And as u can see from the email it is a pure COINCIDENCE that the very top of this chart is the last withdrawal i made and the downswing started the next day.....Ill be turning it around any game now.
P.S. Live ive entered 7 WSOP/WPT circuit events and have 1 12th plc finish....Probably going to quit now so as to avoid the inevitable 100-320 MTT downswing im sure to face just like Hellmuth and Brunson get all the time...
