I remember seeing him and Roger Brown when the NYC teams came to scrimmage our high school team in preparation for the state championships. I remember Brown just pinning the ball against the backboard when our best player took a shot from the corner. It was quite a sight to see. Hawkins was unbelievable and did things no high school player should be allowed to do.

Talk about NY players....Earl Manigualt was the best player ever to come out of the state,according to Lew Alcindor and others...

Connie Hawkins was a beast...watched him and Dr. J plenty of times in the old ABA....with the red, white, and blue ball...
