Derek Dooley. isn't that the name of the dude played by Pee Wee Herman in Blow?

How? Why? The guy has a losing record since taking over for lowly Louisiana Tech 3 years ago. 3-5 in the WAC last year despite returning pretty much everyone. What has he done to deserve this job? I know he does alot for the university but that usually doesn't mean a big job like this.

I know both of those things. I wasn't feeling like dealing with spell check. I also understand who his dad is but that still shouldn't outweigh the fact that Derek hasn't shown any coaching talent as the head man.

George Bush has an influential father but he's not coaching Tennessee.

Derek couldn't get a WAC team doing much of anything. I just don't think he's ready.
