period...don't have money on either side. Just the Greatest ever. Some may not realize it now, but we all will in 10 years.

9 playoff trips. only 3 times did he win the first game. the other 6, one and done.

he's super great. top 5 for sure. But i need more SBs from him before i anoint him

Wow, your standards are tough. Guess Dan Marino and Brett Favre are on your shit list because they only have 1 SB combined. See where the Colts were before Manning. Watch where they go after Manning.

I agree, he is the best ever. This criteria seems to be going the way of the Heisman Trophy, which is the best player on the best team which to me is a crockery.

Hahahhahaha.... did you guys not just see him throw 2 interceptions in a row... he has his one super bowl because of the defense, he really played poor in that big game... let's remember that he has one of the best offensive lines in the game... and have you noticed how when something goes wrong, he is blaming someone else...

Don't get me wrong, he is a great quarterback, but he's not clutch and he is definitely not the best...

I do agree that we can make a more accurate judgement in 10 years. I think even after the end of this season it should be more clear.

I don't even know why I'm responding to this, lol... I guess it's because these games today have been boring.

I believe he is the best ever.

it might take a decade for everyone to realize it but I think he's the best to ever play the position.

Montana is up there because of the rings but Montana's supporting cast was far superior to peyton's.

Horribly overrated.

He's now 8-8 in the playoffs, and anyone who watched the games the year they went to the SB knows that he was mostly a spectator - defense and the running game won them the SB. His QB ratings that year - 71, 39, 79, 81.

He has 3 playoff games with ratings over 100, and a career rating of 85 in the playoffs. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MannPe00_playoffs.htm

He never beat Florida, never won a bowl game, and UT won the title the year AFTER he left.

By the way, every skill player he's ever played with was a first round draft choice - no QB has ever had the weapons he's had. (I know he played with Garcon and Collie this year, but look at all the previous years, even his RBs are all first rounders).

Just because the announcers blow him worse than Favre doesn't make him the greatest QB ever. He's very good but NOT close to the best ever.

Horribly overrated.

HOW was Montana's cast better than Peyton's? Have you seen Montana's SB stats - 4 games with no interceptions? I'm not a SF fan, but you sound like a total indy homer saying he's better than Montana. He's not even in Brady's class.

I'm a skins fan.:smoking:

Rice is the best WR to ever lace them up so I'm not really taking anything away from Montana but he did have help.

Peyton does too, but for the most part Peyton is the better player and more valuable to his team I mean come on man, 4 MVPs now? That San Fran team was still pretty good when Young took over and Indy is going to suck when Peyton leaves.

Not sure if I'd say he is the best ever, because a number of guys could be in that category but one thing I've always said

HE IS THE WORST QB IN HISTORY TO BET AGAINST!!!

*****he is money and he can make you look bad betting against him, plus as witnessed a number of times he seems to be NEVER out of a game

Yours in Winners

^true story, one of the very few if not only times I bet against him was that game he scored 3 td's in what, the last 2 1/2 minutes? Ouch.

not even in tom bradys class? Huh. that may be a facetious comment because tom brady is nowhere near peyton manning. there is no quarterback out there close to him unless you still think favre is capable of lasting all season without fading. we will see tomorrow

what about Troy Aikman????? This guy never gets credit because of his o-line, Emmitt, and Michael Irvin.
