Congratulations to him....I was one of the guys here who thought he was done 2 years ago....I thought he was done last year when he was in New York....I couldn't have been more wrong...He has shown more heart and determination than any player in professional sports in a long time....

I remember athletes like Willie Mays who played out the string and looked horrible doing so...he was the best baseball player I ever saw...I still have images watching him trying to catch a baseball at age 40...

Favre proved to me that an athlete has the right to go out on his own terms...he got healthy this year and his determination and grit were something else...even if the Vikings lose this week, Farve has earned the right to play or not play next year...This guy is what is good about the NFL...he is playing with the same enthusiasm he did today as he did when he was a rookie coming out of Southern Miss...it's hard to root against a player such as him...(<)<

Why is he selfish ? Because he had a hard time making up his mind on whether to play or not, or some other silly argument that he was holding the Packers hostage ? Would you like Favre better if he had done some stupid dance video that LT did right before the playoffs ? Nothing spells selfish better then that ! or self promotion !

I thought he was done 6-7 years ago - while he's always been talented he throws way too many picks - I don't care what type of numbers you put up - throw 2 picks a game and you ain't winning - but this year he seems a little less pressure I guess and isn't forcing things probably because of Peterson - one thing that can be said about Favre is over all these years is that he throws the best slant pass in the history of the game

What I find just as annoying in all the Favre hype is also how much it takes away from how good he was in the 90s. While he deserves all the credit for how good he has been this year, last year he was bad and even two years ago Packers had great receivers and virtually zero injuries on their 13-3 team
