There was a poster here who raved about Portillo's in Buena Park, CA having the best Italian Beef.

I have a challenge for him.

If you are ever in Yorba Linda go to Stefano's Golden Baked Hams and try their Hot Italian Roast Beef. It is the best I ever had. It blows Portillo's out of the water.

If you want some good hot dogs try Jerry's Wood Fired Dogs.

Damn! I wish I would have seen this yesterday. I was in Yorba Linda around lunch time today. I would have checked it out.

Where is Jerry's?

My friend lives near Beach and Imperial. I was just there this morning.

I'll be sure to stop by there the next time I visit him and I'll post in this thread.

Either of you two ever had Fabs Hot Dogs in Reseda?

Saw a thing on Food Network the other night that had my mouth watering.

I just quit a job that had me driving the 101 to Agoura too. Passed right by it several times a month. :ohno:

I like their hot dogs. Never had the Italian Beef.

What's the challenge?
the thing i miss most about chicago is the food, and portillos had the best italian beef i ever had. they win awards for hot dogs, and serve a remarkable amount of food its like a factory.

Hosnatcher,

Speaking of the Tustin Marketplace; have you been to Total Wine? That place is the mecca of low priced beer and wine.

Tom, I've been to that store. It has a better selection of wines and beer than BevMo.

Yep, made my first visit there this past weekend and came away impressed. I thought Bevmo was good, but TW has more selection and much better prices on most of their stock.

I hadn't been in Tustin since the early 90's, but the Marketplace is enormous now and pretty confusing figuring which complex the store you're looking for is actually in.

Is it on the Irvine side or the Tustin side? I used to live right behind the Sport Chalet on the Irvine side but I haven't been that way in a year or so.

I'll have to check it out.

Tustin side.

Sorry to hijack this thread with all this Total Wine talk, Hosnatcher.
