Book of Eli - 7/10. Probably will become an 8 after a rewatch.
Definitely a movie to see in theaters. The post-apocalyptic landscape is breathtaking and definitely a sight to behold on a big screen.
While it is somewhat slow-moving, the premise and execution are solid and the acting is top-notch. Denzel Washington still is a walking bad-ass and Gary Oldman makes the best bad guy around. This is certainly a throwback to his Detective role in Leon. The fight scenes are perfectly choreographed and filmed exceptionally (no shaky cam or quick cuts -- you can actually SEE what's going). The twist at the end is fantastic and really makes a wanting to see it a second time.
"wait for Legion" -- Please tell me you are joking with this shit? While I'll probably check it out because I see every possible movie I can, this looks like shit. Fun I'm sure, it looks like cheesy and awful CGI, but I'm sure it will be entertaining. However there is no way it will be better filmed, better acted, or have as solid of a story as Eli.
