Allen Iverson has been voted into the All-Star game as a starter for the East, sources tell Yahoo! Sports.
We already knew that the All-Star game starters isn't about who is having the best season -- it's about who the fans want to see. And they want to see Iverson even though he sat out most of the season and is a role player for the Sixers these days. The only good news is that Tracy McGrady won't be starting for the West. Jan. 21

Personally, I have never liked the fans determining who plays in the All Star games in any sport. Their peers should determine who's the best and should be an All Star. JMO

i think its more of like a career achievement type of thing by fans. Fans paying respect to one of the smallest/toughest players of all time in whats likely his last yr
