"Vegas (Spanish for "fertile valleys") may refer to a variety of entities. In English, it is almost always a reference or an allusion to the region of Las Vegas, Nevada or to the gambling activities associated with it."
I heard the word "vegas" means meadows which of course would be the same as "fertile valleys". I wonder if it is related to "vegan" meaning plant eater or maybe related to "vegetable".
