Obviously some respected cash bet over 39.5 -110 at Pinny to cause them to move to 40 flat this morning. I can't say I know for sure but my guess is Pinnacle is not a book that will move the total of a huge game such as The AFC Championship a key half point on air because 40's were popping up elsewhere.

Most likely the group Steak Tartar mentioned bet all they could at Pinny over 39.5 -110 causing them to hang the 40 flat.

wil.

There's nothing to analyze. It's a very small line move from a book that's been yesterday's news since January of 2007 when they bent over for the US government and stopped taking action from US bettors. Now they take ten dollar hockey parlays from Canadien squares and five dollar parlays from European squares.

I know a very respected local who takes big action from a lot of sharp bettors and he used to check Pinnacle's numbers all day long. He hasn't even looked at that site in three years. When they were in the gambling business, Pinnacle was clearly the most influential book in the world. They aren't in the top twenty offshore sportsbooks today.

This time of year there isn't any sharp money. Syndicates are degenerates like everybody else. Only game in town!

You are misinformed. Nothing is like 10 years ago. They still have some major talent wagering into their shop. Their "opinion" is still respected.

No offense intended but there is a chance you are not 100% informed as to Pinnacle's operating model these days. I am not going to post how I believe they operate except to say losing their US based post up volume was not the major disaster that many believe it was.

Best of luck today, wilheim

Perhaps you are right but there are still what ever you want to call them, syndicates, sharps, movers etc that will draw the attention of a lines manager when they make a limit wager on a side or total causing line movement as opposed to money from other sources that to use an old phrase end up as a ticket just "thrown in the box" where all of the small or square wagers regardless of size (to an extent, I am not talking about whales) are placed.

Of course now it is all computerized causing "the box" to be a thing of the past, like the hand written ticket that the box eventually contained, both are extinct these days.

Those tickets that are just thrown in the box have little effect on line movement at real shops that know how to make book..

Have a great day, wil..

So based on Pinny movement, would you suggest staying away from the under?

Let me rephrase...based on your analysis of the game, combined with Pinnys movement, would you suggest staying away fron the under 40?

From a few responses thus far, it's obvious we have a few posters with severe hangovers from Saturday evening.

Everyone in the business knows that Pinny bets...it is no secret...and sharps do lose....
also the line movement on this total is the same at all shops less the cute little juice stuff pinnacle does when pinnacle was at 40 un -116 shops were 39 1/2 same line.....all i know it was minimal money on under that moved it down and much more on the over that moved it up........and like BP said this time of year flip the coin

This guy is a troll. Just someone's ghost who decides to stir up the pot. Look at how many posts he has. All of the posts from this person are negative and criticizing.
