Yep. Just go cold turkey. It's really hard for 2-3 days, so load up on candy, gum, and anything else you want. Treat yourself to whatever you want to for those days to help you get through it. After that it's mentally tough for 2 weeks or so. After 3 weeks, all desire is gone. You can do it, trust me.

Quit Copenhagen cold turkey 18 years ago, white spots on the gums and the front gums reducing made it easy.

im back to dipping now (LOL) but many years after I had quit the first time..

My parents found i was dipping when in Highschool and laid the hammer down.. ROFL

They gave me dip that was made of like dried fruit bits or some shit.. basically it had no tobacco in it and it was sooo horrible to do in front of them I quit out of disgust.

I am struggling with this as well, which of course even I think I am being a huge hyprocrite as I do tons to improve my body, yet still dip. I have moved to the pouches which I dont think is any better, yet I feel better doing them. I will be putting the hammer down on them for Lent this year

i had a buddy who tried for years over and over again failing with the patch and every other aid he could find. finally he got disgusted, went cold turkey and had a rough go of it for a couple of weeks but has been off of it for 6 months or so.

I dipped from 12 till 16 ,I played baseball and most everyone did it on the teams.I knew a couple of guys that had to have surgery from it in their teens.I had the patchy gums and all that too.Girls also helped inspire me to quit because most of them thought it wasn't too pleasent.I started smoking at 16 and quit the dip.I still smoke today and have struggled with quitting for years.I'm not suggesting that you start smoking but that would be an easy way.I think most of the stop smoking aids should be just as effective for quitting dip.I also had the begging stages of gingivitis several years later that was pretty painful and required dental treatment.I'm pretty sure the dipping played a major role in that as I've always pretty much taking care of my teeth such as regular brushing and all that.I think like abolishing most bad habbits, the most important ingrediant is really having you're mind set to do it.I wish you GoodLuck with it.Take Care.

Dipping is a strange habit and just shows that human beings are irrational animals.

I know a guy who dips and keeps a cup in the car so he can spit in. Disgusting.

I quit after a couple years. I don't know why but when I took the dip out I almost dry heaved. That made it easy for me to quit. I got tired of almost getting sick.

I even tried the Skoal bandits so it would be easy to take out but I didn't like that cloth in my mouth so I quit altogether.
