How fitting would it be, his last throw an INT and a terrible decision at the worst possible time.

"Gunslinger", aka the most overrated player in the history of team sports.

See ya Brent, er Brett.

i just cant get over the fact that he didnt tuck the ball and run for an easy 10 yards minimum thus picking up a very makeable field goal chance to win the game.

I guess he had his mind made up to throw no matter what happened as he felt they needed yards and him actually running for it never crossed his mind despite the golden opportunity.

Was about to start a thread on this. First NFL pass was a pick and looks, again, like his last will be an INT. Cost his team (GB in 06-07 and Vikes in 09-10) two shots at a SB title with terrible decisions.

Just inexcusable for, supposedly, one of the all time greats.

He shouldn't have been in that position to throw it, Childress really blew the play calling once they got to the 30. To blame it all on Favre is really looking at it blindly. Freaking offensive line was killing him, running backs could not hang on to the ball, and with bad play calling and penalty at end of regulation put him in a position he should not have been in. Bad interception yes, but the rest of the team fucked things up big time

vikings as a team blew the game numerous times. but in typical favre fashion, his awful INT comes at the worst time, the icing on the cake.

Throwing across your body, and the field, is a rookie mistake. He should know better. Just another in a long line of bad decisions.

Here are the facts, IF YOU WATCHED THE GAME..............

EVEN AT THE AGE OF 40, THERE MAY NOT BE A QB IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE THAT COULD HAVE PLAYED ANY BETTER THEN FAVRE DID IN THAT GAME..............THOSE MY FRIENDS, ARE THE FACTS.

Guy competes as hard as anyone and gives 110% everytime out on the field(AND HAS FOR 300+ CONSECUTIVE STARTS, to knock a player of his effort, ability, and passion for the game is totally ridiculous.

It was very painful to watch. Brett wanted that ball back as soon as it left his hands. Man oh man.

This was going to help him forget about the 07 Championship and the same end result. DAM

I don't think there is a better QB in the league then Favre at throw the ball against the grain; in this case he should have clearly ran the ball though.

He is a very good QB and had great year, but the fact is he made another costly mistake at the worst moment and cost his team another chance at a SB ring.

Effort, ability and passion are something most of these guys play with, and I don't think anybody is questioning Brett's desire.

The INT was almost the same as a incomplete pass. Incomplete pass there is no FG attempt either, and since there was no time left what were the Saints going to do! No way he picks up 5 yards on the ground either, he was on one leg at this point. The fuck up was the play calling and the penalty to put the team in this position.

best I can tell he makes maybe 3 yards rushing to the sidelines or up the field before sliding down, hes not a running back so he has to slide down...not the fantasy 10 yards people are saying, thats a joke, he can hardly move out there.....and an incomplete pass and we try a 53 yard FG that is likely no good...and time for NO to have 2 plays...

the int was not that big of a deal..he tried to get the 10-15+ yards we really needed to get to the superbowl..the New Orleans guy made a nice play...

whats the big deal here..
