i like rex ryan.....he's gonna have the jets competing, and someone in the nfl forum had a nice rundown on the rookie seasons of other QBs who went on to be successful.....

the playoffs are fickle though and often a crap shoot....it wouldn't surprise me to see the jets be the type of team to make the playoffs 3 straight years and fire the coach because he can't get them into the Super Bowl.....

and then they go right back into mediocrity/suckiness

ryan will never win a superbowl...

he does not have the mental capacity to handle the pressure...

he tries & talks a good game...but his horseshit does not work in the nfl...

he could never stop manning in baltimore...& that continued again today...

the jets should have not made the playoffs to begin with

seems like he handled the pressure pretty well.....granted, they had the luxury of the underdog role.....expectations will be much higher next year....
