I just can't hardly watch ESPN anymore. It has gotten to the point that i turn down the volume and watch the screen. You would think that the high up's would find some new people. They have some good announcer's . but i don't think Berman or Scott makes the show any better.Listening to Berman this morning ~~:<<screaming who dat who dat, i want to hit the tv.Sometimes i wonder who does the picking of the announcer's for some of the networks.I used to watch the Golf Channel and the same people must hire the announcer's. Kelly Tilghman, Lanny Watkins, Curtis Strange, Paul Azinger. I turn the sound down and just watch. At least they had the sense to get rid of two of the four.

ESPN is a complete joke. Jalen Rose, Lomas Brown, Kordell Stewart, Chris Berman, Stuart Scott, Orestes Destrade, Eduardo Perez, Rachel Nichols...the list goes on and on. I will be watching the MLB network for my info and highlights once the baseball season starts.

His shtick got old in about 1989. Nothing but annoying now. I was so excited when those douches Olberman and Patrick left ESPN, but now things have actually even gotten worse because every idiot that they put on Sportscenter is a bad imitation of them. Personally, that bald asshole with the nerd glasses pisses me off the most.

Now that they are losing all their good analysts (Reynolds, Gammons, etc.) to the "league networks", they will no longer be worth watching at all.

Yeah, I definitely loved Patrick, Olberman, Kilborn, Mayne. They were all good. I love Tirico and Van Pelt. I mainly have a problem with the majority of the ex-athletes that they put on the network. Most of them are awful. Rachel Nichols may be the worst in the entire business.

The retired athletes are the ones ruining the network for me. Just because you played doesn't mean I want to listen to you and your broken/mumbled English breakdown a game.

Yes. If I wanted to hear a hack comedian while I watched sports highlights, I'd put the TV on mute and pop a Dane Cook CD in. ESPN started sucking when these hosts began to make themselves bigger than the game. Some humor would be fine, but every highlight does not have to be a joke. I'm sure that the Disney executives feel this is necessary to keep a mainstream audience interested or something.

By the way, "the greatest of all time"? Have you ever listened to his radio show? Absolutely horrible. I will say that Patrick is only a fraction of the douche that Olberman is.........I've wanted to kick his ass for at least 15 years, maybe my opinion of Patrick has been jaded by that.

The Patrick show is the best in the business. He is the best interviewer out there.

Spot on, exactly.
And his schtick is nothing but a rip off from Howard Cosell and others.
Remember a few years ago, the head honchos from the Masters golf tournament didn't want Berman and his clown act?

Guy is nothing but an empty suited blowhard.

The real problem with ESPN is NO COMPETITION. The regional sports nets are average at best.

Besides i got the hots for that Erin naked chick girl.

I like Mussberger myself.
Did you see the Wisconsin / Purdue game last night.
Clearly he had Wisky +9.5

You always know what side Mussberger bet by tip off.

I think if these guys were just starting out it would be ok but the guys like the Bermans, the Maddens and people of the like get sickening after a while. They just do.. Shouldnt be allowed to do it for more than 10 years lol. You know I was sick of Madden but now I kind of miss him..

Although, now that I think about it a good radio play by play announcer never gets sickening..

So true. Baseball has many of them. For football, a great play-by-play guy is Wayne Laravee (Packers), also does a lot of Big 10 work. Paul Allen (Vikings) is damn good too.

Never have liked Tirico. It seems everyone else does. I guess i got prejudiced one time when he was gophering for Tiger Woods. I was at the masters late one afternoon and Tiger was putting and Tirico was pushing the balls back. This went on for over an hour and a little boy next to me had been waiting for two hours to get Tiger's autograph.Tirico suddenly jumped up, he couldn't have been more than about 12 feet away and walked by. I asked him if he would ask Tiger to sign this little boy's hat and he almost completely ignored me and said he was getting Tiger a coke.Bet he isn't getting him a coke now.
