wow. what a bummer for techies... huge brilliant screen, but missing simple things like a flash-enabled web browser and productivity software. the super 'custom' chip it uses is essentially the same a4 chip thats in my nokia n900 phone. ugh.

The thing just looks weird to me. I think Apple is overrated though anyway.

Now that we have the iPod and the iPad, clearly the next 3 great Apple products are lined up!

iPed = electronic bicycle
iPid = automatic toilet
iPud = tasty dessert in chocolate or tapioca!

Looks pretty cool, I think. Too bad they already wasted the best name possible: ibook.

I don't think they would call it iBook because they don't want it pigeonholed as just an e-reader.

I think iSlate would have been much better.

why do all of the sheep run for the ipods.

the zune is much better then the i touch. lay the oled screen of the zune next to the ipod touch, day and night.

zune better media player as well.

if you like apps, then stick with apple. apps are for kids though.

zune hd is the future

would've been nice to see this be more useful as far as productivity goes - like have the ability to connect to a usb or, even better, bluetooth keyboard and such.

as far as any media players go, i think their on the way out. the best phones already serve both purposes and that trend will only continue. why carry around two devices when you can have a phone, skype/google talk integration, gigabytes or media storage, and web/push email all in one device?

not if you care about sound quality. i want a great sounding mp3 player last place id be looking is i phone. people just choose iphone/ipod because they dont know anything else exists.

most mac people have never heard of cowon and lack technical knowledge.

most mac people dont even know what gapless playback is.

oh i wasn't disagreeing with your original sentiment. my list of tasks wasn't to bring to mind an ipod or iphone, as neither can do half the things i mentioned. i'm just saying i think the demand for a "one trick pony" type of device is diminishing.

No bluetooth keyboard, but you can attach a mac wireless keyboard to the dock, and the iwork apps on it look pretty sweet (an extra $10 each)
