Sad news.

Very weird, literally last night I was reading about him on wikipedia and saw he was 91 and consciously thought "Wow, i'm suprised he's still alive"..Big coincidence.

Well now he's gone, sadly.

i always shied away from reading CITR when i was younger because i assumed since it was older than me that it wouldn't be any good....

as someone who likes to read, it was one of those rare pleasures when i finally sat down with it (assuming i wouldn't read much of it) and discovered that i couldn't put it down

I just read that online.
One of the greatest authors of our generation, with Updike and Vonnegut.

I know but even if he claims that you can't blame the book. The guy was mentally ill. He could've been reading Little Red Riding Hood for all he cared.

A normal, healthy person won't see messages in that book.
