i know this is primarily a sports betting site, but are there any plans or any interest in the RX setting up a tournament or some time of event through one of its poker sponsors? i need to make some easy cash.

i've been bouncing off the walls with good ideas all day long here lately....think i'm getting addicted to these 5 hour energy shots.....hope i don't develop a tolerance to them

The last few times we did it the 1st game went pretty well, then the 2nd barely filled and by the 3rd week there wasnt enough interest.
At 1 time almost all the mods played and so you could always count on a field but now you never know if you'll get 30 or 3...

i used to play enough at UB so i could start my own tourney, but i just got back in the game and haven't racked up the status i need to do that

I would be interested in anything you guys do. A weekly poker tournament with points would be great. I agree with PPP though, it would be tough to get enough people involved to make it worthwhile

well....i got the square part covered, but i might have a hard time making my way to your neck of the woods with this ice storm we've got closing in

good idea...i've got an account at pokerstars but i haven't played there in awhile...i'd for sure play in a weekly freeroll if it was on monday or thursday nights...or daytime on the weekend..

I think our big problem was always 2 fold, even though people disagreed with me the tournys always died so I could'nt be too far off.

A. once a week is too much, make it a special occasion and hype it up. A sponser would do wonders even if they only kicked in a small bit of cash. That would get more exposure and players.

B. Make the buy in 5-10 bucks. When you make the buy in 20 bucks many rec players shy away, that could easily be 1/5th of what they have on a site. Personally I'd go 10, right in the middle of a decent amount to win if the turnout is right and cheap enough everyone can get in
