ghator, I'm a native of DFW TX and in last two years I was there (1996-97) I lived within just a few miles of the Ballpark in Arlington and did a couple games per homestand by myself. I don't mind talking to people around me but I also liked just hanging after a busy work day.

If I lived closer to Ice Palace in Tampa (about 25 miles now) I would likely do some TBL games with or without company.

have gone more by myself than with anyone; traveled from georgia to arizona for 20 years with job and when city with a game going on and had time would go. monday night football games were the best; get to stadium early and check out the tailgaters for a great time and could always find a ticket cheap or free.

When I was in college in 1976-77 I bought a single season ticket (center ice first row) to Kings hockey. My friend was center ice on the other side of arena. By the time the playoffs came I was so sick of going to games I was thrilled the Bruins knocked them off. That year I went to a Laker game or two alone.

I remeber going to an event at the 1984 Olympics by myself, the Wilfred Benitez Maurice Hope fight plus Tommy Hearns James Kinchen both in Vegas.

I also have gone to every So Ca race track (SA, Holy, DM, Pom,) hundreds of times alone

Have done it and it sucks. I could go to Wrigley Field solo no problem though.

You can score a very nice ticket for cheap though if you are by yourself.

Saw Clemens v. Nolan Ryan at Fenway back in the day by myself in 1988.
Could not find anybody, and that was a matchup I was not going to pass up.

I enjoyed the game but for some reason the beers just dont taste as good. I dont think ill be doing it again anytime soon. Maybe a playoff game i wouls consider it

you can get a better seat for one if the scalper is willing to break one up. I was lucky enough to be there 2 hours before and it was freezing ass cold out

many times, especially a warm afternoon baseball game. The connections you make in life with others is the best thing. Get out and meet people. I go to Brewers games and over the years have made so many connections with ushers, ticket people, vendors and other season ticket holders.

I park in the players lot, sit where I want, crowd pending, and would always have a cold beer at my ready based on my connections. Buy the players lot usher a gift card for a nice restaurant every year for him and his wife. $100 bucks for a years worth of parking 40 yards from the stadium? Why not? He has kept balls I have gotten from games in his trunk all year and gets players to sign them as they leave the stadium. My boys love meeting the players.

I do go more with others but do not hesitate to go by myself. Just be open to converse with people and go from there. It works in many aspects of you're life.

Many many times. As I travel a lot for my company it give me things to do.

Last year - Angels Game & a Royals Game.

Total - about 40 baseball games, 5 football games and few hockey games. No hoops yet.

Another tip if going by you're self. 10 or 20 minutes before game time stand around the entrance where season ticket holders go, for the nice seats, would come in. Open you're mouth and ask if anyone has extra or extras. Afternoon games especially as business people get the ticks comped and usually last minute and may not be able to fill all the seats. If they ask, make sure you say you are not reselling them.

Half the time they give them to you. I will offer money for a beer but that is it. Some laugh, most do not, but if you are a good person and have free tickets it is not a $ making affair for you.

We used to do this with almost 20 people at times. Rarely did we not get enough tickets, however they were spread around the stadium. The objective is just to get in. But, with the connections you make, you will go to you're usher friend and he should let you sit where there is room.

Obviously would not work for high profile games.

Have even done this same thing at other stadiums. Fenway, St.Louis and many games in spring training.

I use to go to the NIT games ( @ MSG ) by myself, because Most of my Friends..Back then....had Normal Jobs, and couldn't get out of work...to go Every Day.

Didn't really mind it, as I met a few people there. :drink:
