not sure.....the first one was the one he played in front of the cbs execs when they were trying to get them to do the record.....i wanna say early 77, but i'd have to look it up....the majority are 78.....

And i guess it was just the time and place but this 1 hits me in the gut pretty hard...Hell im holding em back with it playing in my head as i type this.....maybe u just had to know Mary..if im around anybody and i hear the piano start playing these opening lines i head for a bathroom or something to hide till its over...
