Why don't NHL teams yank goalies when 4-1 down with 3:00 left?

Don't they know I've got o5.5+130 and need an empty netter?

But seriously, they need 3 in 3 minutes...

Where's the logic? It's like running the ball late needing 2 touchdowns.

It can be a tiebreaker in the final standings to make the palyoff so they dont want to necessarily give up garbage goals often.......although slim chance it comes in effect, it s still there

I saw Miami University pull their goalie with 8 minutes left in a NCAA tourney game a few years ago. I think they were down 4 or 5 at that point. It didn't work.
