Fitz is a class act and a leader. Its not like he's gonna go Randy Moss, Ocho Cinco, or T.O. on the team.

Cards will have to find different ways to win now. That is for sure. Look for the offense to look more like the offense Coach Whiz ran as OC of the Steelers.

The bigger problem for the Cards might be on defense. They looked horrible in the playoffs and there is a good chance they lose Dansby and Rolle.

Could be. But keep in mind the division they play in. Only the 49ers scare me. SF might actually be the favorite to win the NFC West next year.

Just hoping Alex Smith plays like Alex Smith next year. :toast:

Agree, if AZ doesn't get some help on Defense.....You're looking at a 7-9 team at Best.

If there will ever be a 7-9 team to make the playoffs, it just might come from that division next year.

I think they're looking for a QB as we speak.

Many are predicting it. As a lifelong Niners fan, I really hope they don't screw this up just when they are finally getting it right. I like Clausen but this team does not need a QB. Alex Smith (arm, mistakes) or Shaun Hill (lack of arm, great decisions) are both capable of guiding this team to 10 wins. They don't need to start rebuilding at the QB position. Our options aren't great but both will play better than Clausen. I say we go and help the defensive line. Pressure on the QB will make us a top 3 defense and the offense can churn out yardage with the running game when it needs.

Arizona will add a veteran QB who will beat Leinart out in camp. I think they've seen all they needed to see over the past few years when Leinart has gotten into games. He looks totally lost out there. I'm not sure if something happened to him, or he was not NFL caliber to start with, but I have to think his lack of progress can be at least partially attributed to 'Cade McNown' disease... or being more consumed with fucking starlets than playing football.

I might be one of the only ones but I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Leinart turns out a lot better than most people think. For a Rookie thrust into a starting spot, He really didn't have that bad of a rookie season and He got injured early in his second year. Of course looking back in retrospect it was not a shame to be beat out of starting by Curt Warner as this guy was one of the best QB in the NFL and a probable HOF QB. Where Matt Leinart failed badly was in his preparation and maturity as his off field activities showed a lack of devotion to becoming a NFL QB. Perhaps now that He is in his do or die year, He will spend all his time towards becoming the player that so many thought He would be. He was the 10 th player taken in the draft.... not the first. I have no doubt that He has all the athletic ability it takes to be a very good QB in the NFL. Now We shall see if He has the mental tools it takes. I actually think barring injury, He will have a pretty decent season. He did pass for over 2500 yards as a Rookie.

I'm with Kermit on this one

Reminds me of the Patriots replacing Brady with Cassel and still winning 11 games. If they are like every other team in the league, they'll win between seven and nine games. Moving from a Hall-of-Fame quarterback to an unknown, that isn't too bad
