Baseball is doable
60s: Mays barely ahead of Robinson
70s: Morgan first, Bench second
80s: Schmidt, Henderson just missing out with his MVP year in 1990
90s: Bonds definitely ahead of Griffey
00s: Rodriguez with more games played and more defensive value than Pujols

Pujols might be the best offensive player ever and he is definitely the best player in the 2000's.

Rodriguez played in extra season and is therefore ahead in runs created by about 30. Obviously he used more outs on offense, so Pujols does have a slight edge there. But two Gold Gloves at shortstop is worth a lot more than one from a first baseman

An argument could be made for Greg Maddux in the 90's.

probably russell instead of wilt.

jim brown maybe instead of starr as far as pro football in the 60's

I think a case could be made for Randy Johnson of the 00's but could also be argued against, because all of his was done in the first part of the decade. But 3 straight Cy Young's and a WS MVP is hard to look away from.

I like the Bird/Magic split for the 80's. No way to choose one over the other, and Bird is my favorite athlete of all time.

my argument, elway made it in 1990, they lost in a blowout, and won in 98 and 99.. thats enough. give me a break about favre, if he so special why did they lose as a huge fav in 98????

I probably should have Koby there too. Whats hard about putting Brady ahead of Manning, is that Brady missed an entire season. Wilt vs Russell comes down to championships vs talent.

It's a shame he isn't half the father than he was as a player....Don't know the whole story but I heard he hasn't made contact with her in years....
