With all changes NBC made, did this hack finally lose his job? He sucked on saturday night live, got exposed on movie circuit.

God, I only hope so.
If he keeps his job, Craig Ferguson will crush him in the Nielsens,it'll be a collasal embarrasment, total domination.

Nope.

But I do agree with Ferguson. He's great. All these late night guys stick around for too long. Letterman should step down and let Ferguson take over.

Used to work with O & A 2001-2002, freelanced for the show.

Really? Didn't we just see that was a colossal failure with the Leno/Conan thing? Leno was beating Letterman every night and then they move him out and Conan gets crushed.

You really think Ferguson (as much as I like him) could maintain Letterman's ratings?

Jim Norton is very funny, but I don't think any network would take a chance on this guy to go solo on a late night show. He even admits himself that he has a pretty short fuse, so I doubt that he would be very cooperative when it comes to doing his own material. Plus, you know if he has a guest on his show that he doesn't particually like, he'll come up with some snide remark that will get him in trouble. I think a place where Norton would fit in pretty well is Saturday Night Live. He would bring a little of the Belushi edge back to the show again. Plus he's a very good joke writer. His book I Hate Your Guts is very funny.

I worked with Norton on the O and A show from 2001-2002.
(I can pull up clips from Foundry Music to prove this)
Having said that, Norton is very dark, nice guy in real life, but keeps to himself for the most par.
Has a very, very short fuse, will tell you exactly what's on his mind, but is sincere.
Would not make it as a mainstream talk show host (FOX, ABC, CBS,NBC), only because of his personality.
Now let him open up on cable, where there a less restrictions, there is plenty of upside for a great show, but not on mainstream TV.

O/T
How does George Lopez get a talk show, he's such a bad interviewer he makes Fallon look like Johny Carson, Lopez is not remotely funny, and throws nothing but underhand lobs for questions to his guest.
The consumate suckup.

Yeah, I do.

Conan was getting crushed compared to Leno but he was building an audience.

Leno wasn't always high ratings. He started in 1992 and didn't beat Letterman until 1994.

By that logic Jay should have been fired. After all Johnny Carson averaged 10 million people a night. Should they have fired Jay prematurely the way they fired Conan? Of course not.
