Samsung! I have 3 of them. 52 inch, 40 inch and 32 inch. All bought within the last 2 years. Outstanding contrast picture quality for each. No problems whatsoever.

I have a full surround sound set up on my 52 inch and the 40 inch. There was no trouble whatsoever using the external connections. You should use HDMI cables for your hook-up to get the best available audio/video possible.

My pops and I went to Bestbuy at Christmas time
and compared the Dynex and the Insignia as a decent budget LCD to buy for my mom as an XMAS gift.

I thought the Dynex looked horrible. So we went with the Insignia. But that's just me. It doesn't matter what I or anyone else says, just matters wether or not you are happy with the TV and think it looks good.

Perhaps the Dynex gets it done for you, in our case it did not.

I would go to www.slickdeals.net and check out what types of deals are currently running, I look their first before ever making a purchase

if you can't tell the difference then they probably won't either. take into account the warranties and buy accordingly.

imho, i cant imagine a dynex looking as good as a samsung, but i won't be looking to buy a tv for another week or so.
