I watched a couple of episodes. They pulled over 3 different drunk drivers and called a cab for 1 and called friends for the other 2.

Seagal is one strange cat.

Yea i been watching it but i gotta tell u this 1 they running now with Jefferson Parish Police is a joke. Thats the Cheif and the top brass he is riding with and those guys havent run a patrol in years. What i heard is you see the SUV's those guys are riding in but you dont see the 6+ units of regular patrol officers that ride in before, during and after their stops..
When they were at that barroom where Segal said "we're gona look for some drunk or disorderlies" the patrol officers had already swept the area and the people you see outside were outside cus they heard Segal was coming.
So u have to remeber some of the scenes are pretty much setup in advance..
I loved it when they went to shoot Nutria and Segal had to sit in the car cus he couldnt bear to watch...Nutria are sewer rats and can cause more erosion than you could believe. They breed like rabbitts and are almost impossible to wipe out. Killing a few hundred a night barely keeps them under control.
At least at the end he did admit there was no other way to control them ....
These scenes were from Parish under siege....i havent really seen much of the others yet..

His accent is funny, it may be partially staged but he is one bad ass dude. I like the show.

i tried to give the show a chance when it first came on, but it's seems to much like a cheaply made ripoff of cops. Ain't watched it since the 1st episode. No doubt it's garbage that will be canceled

Law enforcement work

Seagal is currently a Reserve Deputy Chief of the Sheriff's Office in the community of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Seagal has a second home in Louisiana, and spends several months a year there.[15] He claims to have graduated from a police academy in California, and has a certificate from Peace Officer Standards & Training (POST), an organization that accredits California police officers. In television commercials broadcast prior to the premiere of his reality television series, Steven Seagal: Lawman, he claims to have been a police officer for 20 years. However, according to a December 2, 2009 Los Angeles Times commentary, P.O.S.T. has no record of this, and his deputy chief rank is ceremonial only. It should be noted, however, that an individual can serve as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff at certain agencies in the state of Louisiana without being P.O.S.T. certified provided he/she is partnered with another P.O.S.T. certified deputy. In November 2008, A&E announced that they had begun taping Steven Seagal: Lawman, which follows his work in the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office. The series premiered on A&E on December 2, 2009. Seagal stated that "I’ve decided to work with A&E on this series now because I believe it’s important to show the nation all the positive work being accomplished here in Louisiana—to see the passion and commitment that comes from the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office in this post-Katrina environment." The series premiere drew 3.6 million viewers, ranking as best season opener for any original A&E series ever.

Maybe if dealing with drunks or guys over age 40, but otherwise, he's old, slow and fat.

Looking at Seagal these days, I would guess most of the 'action' takes place at Dunkin' Donuts. Also what's with the Gansta-Creole, dialect? I don't even think that he's from Louisiana.
