I usually don't lock my truck unless there is something of particular value in it.

I often leave the keys in the door panel, but not the ignition.

Lock it every time, not to mention double or triple lock it (pushing the remote multiple times). I guess it is the OCD.

I don't even lock it in a bad hood !

My wife ( hopefully soon to be X-wife ) locks and alarms the car in Mayberry for a minute at Dunkin Donuts.

I don't lock my truck at Frog's Hollow !

I've never been that way ! I have no fear of a gunman, I'd try to disarm the guy personally, but I'm married...have no fear of dying...get my deathwish , or be a hero ! Works for me....

I'd walk right up to the gunner and demand he surrenders his weapon in my open hand, no fear of death from me !

No, but I had my gps stolen out of my glove box last year. Still pissed about that considering that it got stolen at either my work or the grocery store.

The one thing that has value in my truck Is always there is my lifetime handicapped parking permit.

I'm not handicapped ( actually) , but have a legit crip permit.

depends where you're at, I have little fear , but I also have no fear of anything, and welcome death, as I'm married.

Why the heck wouldn't you lock it? I never knew this was debatable. Lock it, of course.

Actually, it's very debatable, particularly if you have a car that doesn't have a security system.

If you have nothing of value in the car, you might be better off leaving the car unlocked. That way, if a would-be thief is on the prowl and curious to see if there's anything in your car worth stealing, you might save yourself the cost of a broken car window. If there's nothing in your car worth stealing, you're none the worse for wear if the guy gets in and looks around, finds nothing worth stealing, and then leaves. If he breaks your window to get in, you're probably out a couple of hundred dollars.
